The second of our important priorities is to help in the enormous task of training Ukrainian workers for pastoral ministry. Although there have been many excellent Bible Schools and Seminaries that have been training Christian workers for service, there simply are not enough people ready to lead.

Smaller and denominational schools are springing up across the country. There are many different forms such as bible schools, missionary schools and discipleship schools. In some cases young missionaries are being asked to go out after three months of training following their conversions.

There is obviously a need for further training!

The Ukrainians are thankful to have experienced Canadian Pastors and Teachers come and share from experience. I have been doing pastoral development seminars in the Ukraine for many years now and will continue to do this. But I also hope to encourage other Pastors to come and share in this important work.
